1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using HafizApp ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

HafizApp is a free, open-source Quran memorization and recitation app. It provides Quranic text, audio recitation, memorization tracking, bookmarks, and related features to help Muslims engage with the Quran.

3. Non-Commercial Use

The App is provided free of charge as a non-profit public service. It is not intended for commercial use.

4. Quranic Content

All Quranic text displayed in the App is sourced from verified datasets provided by the Quran Foundation (quran.com). We make every effort to ensure accuracy but encourage users to verify against a physical Mushaf for religious purposes.

5. User Accounts

If you choose to sign in using your Quran Foundation (Quran.com) account, your use of that account is also governed by the Quran Foundation's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

6. User Data

User data (bookmarks, memorization progress, session history) is stored locally on your device. If you enable cloud sync, data is synced via Firebase or your Quran Foundation account. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Open Source

The App's source code is available at https://github.com/moatazhamada/HafizApp under its stated license. Contributions are welcome.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of HafizApp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
